Study visit to the USC Shoah Foundation

On the last week of November two representatives of the Hungarian Institute for Educational Research and Development (HIERD), József Kaposi (director general) and Zoltán Pompor (deputy director general) will visit the USC Shoah Foundation in Los Angeles.

The goal of the study visit is to renew the official agreement of cooperation between the Shoah Foundation and the HIERD. The visitors will meet the representatives of the Foundation, and will also attend workshops on IWitness (link: https://sfi.usc.edu/iwitness) and visit the Center for Advanced Genocide Research (https://sfi.usc.edu/cagr), collecting impressions on the Foundation’s latest release, the Testimony Demo.

Student Voice project meeting - Dublin

The second Student Voice project meeting was held in Dublin, Ireland on 18-19th January with the participation of the five partner institutions from Ireland, Scotland, Hungary, Slovenia, and The Netherlands. The KiVa program has launched!

This September, the research-based KiVa antibullying program, developed at the University of Turku, Finland, has launched in three Hungarian schools. As licence partners of KiVa, the Hungarian Institute for Educational Research and Development is the head of the pilot program and the leader of the adaptation of the antibullying program.
