Our colleague Péter SINGER participated at an experts’ seminar in Ostrava, the Czech Republic, on the 5th June 2014, on the use of video interviews in responsible citizenship education.

The seminar was about the potential educational use of video interviews of the USC Shoah Foundation’s Visual History Archive. There were some 30 participants, who came from the Czech Republic, Poland, Slovakia and Hungary. Czech and Polish projects were presented, and the central topic of the experts’ discussion had been how video interviews can effectively be used in the education about the Holocaust and tolerance. Organisers will prepare a multi-language, interactive online education material as a result of the discussion.
